Feed slum children nutritious meal in India

Summary

​

Slum children in India are deprived of basic meal. As a children they are malnourished and sick. CLM INDIA believes in feeding at least one nutritious meal to children on the street and slum thus it has introduced a project Meals on Wheels Manna food distribution in Tenali.

Challenge

The street/slum children in Tenali migrate from other poor villages  come to our town dreaming of better life. In our town they end up as beggars, rag pickers or child laborers. These children are deprived of basic food, malnourished and are victim of child abuse.

 

Solution

​

Christian Living Ministries invite them to the day care shelter project to have a nutritious lunch; every day there are 50 children come for lunch. The center also distribute 100 Meal on Wheels Manna food packs in market places, slums on daily basis across Tenali and its surrounding villages.

Long-Term Impact

​

These children are malnourished, without proper clothes on them and psychologically disturbed. CLM INDIA helps them to get back to their proper childhood, education and better life.
